M. Kilburg Reedy

M. KILBURG REEDY is an award-winning theatrical producer and writer.  As a producer, current and recent projects include Cabaret starring Eddie Redmayne (Broadway) and Grey House (Broadway), the Olivier Award-winning Best Musical Come From Away (Broadway, Toronto, North American Tour, London, and Australian companies), Jagged Little Pill (Broadway, North American Tour), and Martin McDonagh’s Hangmen (Broadway).  Kilburg’s other productions include the Tony Award-winning Best Play Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, the world premiere in London of Romantics Anonymous the Musical at Shakespeare’s Globe, and New York productions of Nevermore — The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe (nominated for three 2015 Lortel Awards including Outstanding Musical) , Peter and the Starcatcher (Broadway and National Tour; winner of 5 Tony Awards), The Pee-wee Herman Show, Bill Maher: Victory Begins At Home (Tony nomination, Best Special Theatrical Event), and the West End production of Lend Me A Tenor The Musical.  As a playwright and songwriter, Kilburg’s plays include Second Lady, a one-woman drama produced throughout the United States and internationally, including Off-Broadway starring Judith Ivey and in Los Angeles (L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award, 3 Drama-Logue Awards including Best Writer), and  Spin: A Musical Myth, a pop-rock musical about the Arachne myth, both published and licensed by Samuel French.  In development for a world premiere in London during summer 2024 is Kilburg’s stage adaptation of Josephine Tey’s classic novel The Daughter of Time.  Also a lawyer (Columbia Law ’92), Kilburg is a partner in the New York firm of Feldman, Golinski, Reedy + Ben-Zvi, PLLC, and has an active legal practice in all aspects of the entertainment business, with a focus on theatre transactions and securities.
